Terms of Participation

Welcome to Cause Champions — where creators like you use their platforms to support causes they care about.


These Terms of Participation (“Terms”) outline what it means to join the Cause Champions network, how campaigns work, and how we keep things respectful and transparent for everyone.

By submitting your registration form and participating in any campaign, you agree to the following terms:


Who Can Participate

  • You must be 18 years or older (or have a parent/guardian’s permission if younger).
  • You must have an active public-facing platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • You don’t need a specific follower count — nano-influencer to mega-influencer welcome.


What Participation Means

As a Cause Champion, you may be invited to:

  • Create original content about a nonprofit or cause
  • Repost or amplify existing content
  • Share campaign messages, stories, or CTAs (Calls to Action) with your audience


Participation is always opt-in — you choose the campaigns you support. There’s no minimum requirement and no obligation to accept any campaign.


Compensation & Campaign Types

Cause Champions may participate in:

  • Paid campaigns (rates vary depending on scope, platform, and budget)
  • Discounted-rate campaigns
  • Pro bono / volunteer campaigns


All compensation terms will be made clear in advance. You will never be expected to work for free without knowing it — and you are free to negotiate, accept, or decline any offer.

If you are paid, you may be required to complete a W-9 form and provide a PayPal, Venmo, or bank account for payment. Payments are typically processed within 30 days of campaign completion.


Content Guidelines

We want your voice to shine. Just keep it:

  • Respectful and appropriate for the nonprofit’s mission
  • Compliant with FTC disclosure rules (e.g., using #ad, #sponsored, or #partner when required)
  • Authentic to your audience — no scripts, no phoniness required


We reserve the right to not feature or promote content that includes hate speech, misinformation, harassment, or violates a nonprofit’s dignity or guidelines.


Nonprofit & Partner Relationships

When you participate in a campaign, you are representing both your own brand and the nonprofit’s mission.

By joining a campaign, you agree to:

  • Represent the nonprofit truthfully and respectfully
  • Only share information approved in the campaign brief
  • Not repurpose nonprofit branding or imagery outside the approved scope


If you're ever unsure — ask. We’re here to help keep things smooth.


Privacy & Data

We collect your information to:

  • Match you with campaigns that align with your interests
  • Send you campaign opportunities
  • Handle payments or disclosures, when applicable


We will never sell your data or share it with anyone except the nonprofits or partners you agree to collaborate with.


Leaving the Program

You can leave the Cause Champions program at any time. Just email us at info@cause-champions.com. We’ll stop sending offers, and we’ll remove you from our active roster.


Likewise, we reserve the right to remove participants who violate these terms, submit misleading information, or behave in a way that damages the reputation of our nonprofit partners or platform.
